But, let's start from beginning. I tested iXpenselt, Personal Finance, Kashbook, CashFlow, Balance, Free Home Budget. I thought that there has to be free app that can satsify me needs, but with further testing I realized that quality app is worth paying. Especially with purpose of saving money! Why I picked HomeBudget as the best one?
For start, it can satisfy simple and demanding users. All world currencies are supported. It is nice that this best finance app follows region settings on your device and shows date and currency symbols of your country.
Dashboard is very intuitive, and with little time you can handle all features with no problems.
With HomeBudget comes detailed user guide what is really surprising considering competition (42 pages).
But don't be scared - even without reading it, you can still master this great finance app fast.
In expenses, categories are fully adaptive, so you can quickly create your own categories and watch expenses through them fast and easy. When you enter expenses, you can see all expenses by category with cumulative values.
If you want to track specific expense, you can create category e.g. Coffee and put all expenses related to coffee to it. Then just scrolling to this category, you can have deep look on dates and costs of this activity.
After analysis of your first month through this finance app, you can create Budget. Nice graph will show you on the Dashboard current state of your finance.
You can create multiple accounts - Savings, Debit, Cash. You can even choose between different base currencies for each account!
Advanced features includes:
Family Sync which means working within same budget with other members of household.
Forecast that will give you good look on trends for the feature spending / savings
Reports will give you quick overview of month cash flow, with option of generating pie with categories. You can export them by WiFi or Email in CSV or HTML format.
Standard features as password protection, color schemes, uploading of icons are included.
The only thing that this app doesn’t have from competition is automatic reminder for entering daily expenses (tested iXpenselt support it). But you can set in reminder recurring event if you think you need it!
Speed of entering expenses (after 2 weeks of using it) is really fast. Last time in market while waiting authorization from credit card I found enough to enter expense in app. Great!!
If you want really serious and advanced app for tracking expenses, try HomeBudget (Lite) which will give you a good look on this very best finance app for iPhone!
It cost 5 $, but as I mentioned before it’s really worth every dollar!
